Challenge

After an initial survey of the site in Corby, it was found that the 3No existing tanks dotted around the site were not coping with demand at peak times. The client also wanted to consolidate all the cold-water services into one brand-new cold-water storage tank which we configured with a central division to facilitate future cleaning and maintenance.

Solution

As there was ample clearance for installation, the solution decided upon was a Hot Press Internally Flanged Base (IFB) sectional tank, this clearance allowed the highly skilled engineers at  Hydraclean Ltd to install the new Regulation 4 (1) compliant tank. These engineers also re-routed all the existing pipework and cleaned and chlorinated the new tank in line with the requirements HSG274 Part 2.

When the order was received, our specialist drawing team produced a full job-specific CAD drawing for the customer’s approval. Once the tank was manufactured in accordance with the approved drawing, our logistics team sprang into action, offering the best possible delivery date to Corby.

The vehicle was supplied with a tail-lift, which assisted the off-loading of the palletised panels down to ground level to facilitate site movement.

Our dedication to ensure a timely manufacture and delivery date, allowed the Hydraclean engineers to complete the job sooner than expected and by doing so, we surpassed the customers’ expectations.
