Installation Engineer

The role of the Installation Engineer is to complete the assembly and construction of modular GRP sectional water storage tanks and other GRP products on sites throughout the UK adhering to company polices and health and safety requirements.

Duties

  • Taking direction from the office or supervisor on the tasks in hand
  • Co-ordination of water tank construction including marking out connection points and fittings as per approved drawings
  • Ensure all component parts are fitted correctly as detailed on works drawings
  • Ensure all personnel adhere to Health & Safety procedures as out lined at site induction
  • Ensure all PPE is worn while carrying out construction duties
  • Liaise with customers on site in a proactive and professional manner
  • Setting out of tank position
  • Communicating any site issues back to office
  • Arrange movement of parts to point of installation
  • Checking base levels with Theodolite and or laser levels
  • Carrying out pre-site visit survey checks to identify any foreseeable problems
  • Up keep & maintenance of company vehicle
  • Interaction and participation with lean/continuous improvement teams and quality department
  • Occasional staying away and travel abroad when required
  • Any other duties as assigned, to support the Company.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience of onsite works
  • Background within plumbing / facilities maintenance
  • Previous experience in with GRP or mechanical fitting preferable
  • Organised
  • Flexible
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • CSCS Card and Driving licence

Customer Service Administration Apprenticeship

The Customer Service Administrator Apprenticeship will report directly to the Customer Services & Logistics Manager and will play a vital role in supporting the post-sale function across Dewey Waters. The main responsibilities for the role is the progression of orders from receipt through to manufacture ensuring that the customer expectations are met or exceeded.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Sales Estimators / Engineers regarding information relevant to their key accounts.
  • Establishing key information about the project / order using effective telephone questioning techniques.
  • Obtaining further information about the project / customer from a soft filing system and sales team as required.
  • Acknowledging orders with the customer and then processing the orders on IFS.
  • Liaising with production to forecast stock and responsibility to ensure correct levels are maintained.
  • Reviewing quotations on bespoke system to produce a parts list for the product purchased.
  • Producing and issuing purchase orders for intergroup orders.
  • Issuing job cards to the factory for manufacture.
  • Liaising with customers and other departments to ensure products are delivered and installed to meet customers program and requirements to give customer satisfaction.
  • Proactive and commercial approach to resolving logistic issues.
  • Create a daily OTIF and shortage report as required.
  • Updating and maintaining data on our bespoke system.
  • Providing interdepartmental cover as required.
  • Taking incoming telephone calls for all post sale queries.
  • General accounting duties to support the team
  • Any other duties as assigned, to support the Company.

Sales Administrator Apprenticeship

Dewey Waters are looking for a customer centric sales administrator apprentice to provide exceptional administrative support to the sales team. The key areas of responsibility are reviewing technical tender documentation to extract information and following up on customer quotes with the overall aim of driving sales. The role will be based at our offices in Weston-Super-Mare within our dynamic sales office environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the Sales email account.
  • Ensure all enquiries are dealt with, in line with the departments service level agreements.
  • Reviewing tender documentations, including technical drawings to extract information required to enable the sales team to provide accurate quotations for projects.
  • Logging customer and projects details onto our bespoke CRM system.
  • Prioritise and distribute enquiries to the sales team.
  • Respond professionally and in line with the departments SLA’ to all customer communications through various channels; phone, email, webchat web form; addressing customer needs directly and/or referring calls to the appropriate manager.
  • Quickly gaining a detailed understanding of the Company services and product offerings will be essential.
  • Assist customers by answering product and service questions, suggesting information about other products and services.
  • Following up with customers on quotations we have provided to establish the status of the project and updating CRM system.
  • Pre-Qualification Questionnaires – Completing inline with the departments service level agreements.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; working with Quality to select the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Contribute to individual, team, and department sales objectives.
  • Proactively engaging with customers to identify areas of growth for the business, as well as engaging customers on CSAT.
  • Running sales reports to provide information to the sales manager on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Accurately maintain and update CRM system as required.
  • Ad hoc Office Administration as required by the business.
  • Support other members of the Sales & Administration Team.

SLU Production Supervisor

The main purpose of this role is to control and direct the activity of a team of Production personnel to achieve specific KPIs to ensure the smooth running of the production process. The role is required to ensure that all products are produced to the specified specifications, target and deadlines are met to achieve the orders. To ensure that all direct reporting staff comply with the company’s policies and procedures

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To take full responsibility of the Spray Lay UP department in terms of management of staff, management of production and quality targets to ensure the smooth running of the production processes.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements and procedures are adhered to, including the correct use of all Personal Protective Equipment and also the maintenance of appropriate housekeeping standards.
  • Adherence to Quality Systems through management of the team and process to deliver agreed product specifications as defined in quality standards and policies.
  • Involved in drafting and formatting of Work Instructions working with relevant personnel to co-ordinate the content. Follow through to document release and training completion.
  • Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff. Create and maintain an environment which is aligned to the company core values and promote participation within direct reports and support groups.
  • Record, monitor, measure and report on KPI’s, this will include driving performance and accountability through the PIT meeting structure.
  • To ensure that there is a good communication flow between all members of staff.
  • Cross functional collaboration on identified projects/issues is required.
  • Liaise (as necessary) with line manager and Human Resources for guidance & direction on Employee Relations matters and any other staff issues as they arise.
  •  Responsible for employee contract reviews, performance reviews, manpower planning and recruitment.
  • Line management responsibility for the team including; schedule and keep track of team members’ attendance, return to work meetings, approving holiday requests team morale, performance review and appraisals meetings.
  • To have an active role in the company’s continuous improvement/lean plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company. This will include taking a leading role in improvement projects.
  • To ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands.
  • Coordinate production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers. This may include full responsibility for securing the premises.
  • Interact with business systems when required (IFS).
  • Ensuring equipment and tooling is maintained and reporting any faults.
  • This role will be required to act as the First Aider for the department and would therefore be required to undertake first aid training and provide first aid as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
