TIF Tank Installation for RAINWATER HARVESTING

Challenge

The brief received from the client was very detailed and all drawings were submitted to us at the point of enquiry.

However even with the best laid plans, the plantroom became more problematic on the day of the installation as it was 250mm short in one direction.

Ordinarily a traditional internally flanged tank comes in lateral panel increments of 500mm & 1000mm and had this been the case, our site crew would have had to sacrifice 500mm from the tank length resulting in a significant loss in the water storage tank capacity.

Solution

Given the limited space in the plantroom, an L-shaped TIF tank was specified to ensure safe and correct installation and maintenance. TIF tanks are the ideal water storage solution for projects where the plantroom space is very limited.

Due to the versatility of our panel range, it was possible to swap out two 500mm panels for a 750mm section and this reduced the initial loss of capacity by 50%.

Once the panels were manufactured, our experienced site crew returned to site to complete the installation and as you can see from the pictures, it fits perfectly.
